Privacy

Next Steves exists to introduce two people to each other. That only works if what you tell us goes to the people you meant it to go to and nowhere else, so here is exactly what we take, who sees it, and how long we keep it.

Who we are

Next Steves is a Yellow Door programme. Innov8 Global Advisory runs it and is the controller for everything on this page:

Innov8 Global Advisory
21701 Stevens Creek Blvd #1022
Cupertino, California 95015
USA

For people in Russia there is also an operator under Federal Law No. 152-FZ. Its name and registration details are on the Russian version of this page.

To see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, write to info@i8gl.com. That is the same address for every question below.

What we collect

Only what you send us through one of the three forms, and only once you tick the box that says we may keep it. Nothing leaves your browser before you press the button.

There are also no cookies, no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party scripts at all. The two typefaces and the ten portraits in the room are served from this domain, so opening a page does not tell Google, or anyone else, that you were here. Our hosting provider records what every website receives - an IP address, a browser - in order to serve the page and keep the site up.

This is what each form takes, and nothing beyond it. With it we record the moment you ticked the box, the language of the page and which page you sent it from:

Once the room runs on its own, it will record two more things, and they are the ones worth reading twice:

Why, and on what basis

We use what you send to read your application, to reply to it, and to work out who in the room you should meet. That is the whole product, and it is the legitimate interest in answering a conversation you started, or your consent when you tick the box on a form.

A person reads every application and writes every reply. Nothing here is decided by a machine, nobody is scored, and there is no profile built about you beyond the card you wrote yourself.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, add you to a mailing list you did not ask for, or train anything on it. We do not publish the cards.

Who else touches it

Two. Netlify serves the pages and stores what you send through a form, then emails it to us; Google carries that email, and any you write to us yourself. Their servers are in the United States and elsewhere.

Most of the people this programme is for are in Russia, and we would rather their data did not make a round trip to California at all. It does for now, and we are saying so plainly rather than keeping the forms shut. When there is somewhere in Russia for it to land, it moves there and this page says so.

How long we keep it

An application or an enquiry
Two years from our last exchange, then deleted.
A card in the room
Two years after your last sign-in, then deleted.
Who introduced whom
As long as the card it sits on.
A mutual interest
Until either of you removes it, or the card goes.
Hosting records
As long as our hosting provider keeps them under its own terms.

Your rights

You can ask to see what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to take a copy, or to object to our holding it at all. One email to info@i8gl.com is enough. No form, no fee, and you do not have to say why.

Once the room is running, your card is yours to delete from inside it, in one click, without asking anybody. That is a promise the room makes on its own page and this notice does not water it down.

If our answer does not satisfy you, you can complain to your data protection authority - Roskomnadzor in Russia, or the regulator where you live. We would much rather hear it first.

Security, and the honest limit of it

The site is served over HTTPS, the cards will sit behind a sign-in, and the number of people who can read them is small and known. That is real, and it is not a guarantee. We are a small team rather than a bank, and anybody who tells you their system cannot be breached is selling you something. What we can promise is that we collect little enough that a bad day is survivable, and that you would hear from us.

Children

This is for people starting companies, and it is not for under-18s. We do not knowingly take anything from a child. If you think we have, write to info@i8gl.com and it will be deleted.

Changes

If what we do changes, this page changes first and the date at the top moves. Adding analytics, opening a form, or putting anybody new on the list above would each be that kind of change.
